Uxbridge slipped to an agonising 1-0 defeat at Oxford City in the BGB South and West play-off final yesterday.
The Reds were in confident mood after knocking out Fleet Town away on Thursday night.
But Tony Choules' side were sunk by a first-half goal from City striker Mark Bell.
They were unable to salvage an equaliser and must face up to the reality of another season in the South and West division.
