Maroons end with win
Ruislip Rugby Club won both the Middlesex Sevens Bowl and Plate final on Saturday at Richmond.
Ruislip 1sts finished second in their group and eased to a 33-12 win over Beckenham in the quarter-finals. Joe Grehan scored a brace of tries as they defeated rivals Staines 33-19 in the semi-final.
In the plate final they thumped Chiswick 43-7. Tries from Chris West, Jeam-Pierre Greyling, Denis Rowe, David Hoani and Joe Grehan (two) sent them to the win.
Ruislip 2nds met Harlow in the Bowl final and proved too strong as they surged to a 26-7 victory. Two tries from Peter Enright helped them on their way and Jack Lawlor and Mark Brown were also on target.
Ruislip coach Greg Knights said: "This was a fantastic effort by both squads and it shows the growing strength of rugby at Ruislip.
"Winning these two finals made this a superb culmination to a successful season and it's a proud day for the players and the club."
