THE readers of this website have voted against the Hayes Carnival being moved to October.

A poll followed Hillingdon Council's decision to axe the traditional July carnival and integrate it with the October BigFest event.

The poll asked - Should Hayes Carnival be axed in July and integrated with BigFest celebrations in October?

The result, which is based on the number of uniue userswho have voted, showed 57 per cent voted yes and 43 per cent voted no.

However, the council has now said the carnival will go ahead as usual.
